Players during an ice hockey game

Nordic sport on IPTV

Football, ice hockey, handball and winter sport from five countries, plus the international leagues Nordic viewers follow. What to expect, and what to check first.

Short answer

Sport is in every plan, and it is where an IPTV service is tested hardest, because everyone watches the same match at the same moment. Check your line against the table below and run the test on a weekend with games on.

This is a map of what people follow, not a channel promise. Sports rights in the Nordics are split between public broadcasters, commercial channels and streaming services, and they change hands every few seasons. Ask in the chat about a specific league before paying.

Why sport is the hard part

A Saturday evening with a derby, a hockey round and the Premier League is when every viewer connects at once. That is when cheap services fail, and why our uptime figure covers the whole year, 99.93% in 2025, rather than a quiet week.

There is also a delay. An IPTV stream typically runs a few seconds to around half a minute behind the broadcast, depending on the source and the player's buffer. If the neighbours cheer before you see the goal, that is why, and no setting removes it completely.

Sport in 4K

Some major events are carried in 4K. You need at least 20 Mbit/s, a 4K TV and a device that decodes 4K at 50 frames per second. Fast sport is where weak boxes give up first.

Missed the match: catch-up

Three- and six-month plans keep 7 days of catch-up, twelve months keeps 14. The test and the one-month plan have none, which matters if you follow evening games from another time zone.

Questions and answers

Is sport included in every plan?

Yes. Sport channels are in every plan, the 48-hour test included.

Can I watch Allsvenskan, Eliteserien or the SHL?

Nordic leagues are what most of our viewers follow, but rights move between broadcasters every few seasons. Ask in the chat about the league you care about, and confirm it during the test.

Why is my stream behind the TV broadcast?

Every IPTV stream is buffered, which adds a delay of a few seconds to around half a minute. A smaller buffer in the player shortens it, at the cost of more stuttering on a weak line.

What connection do I need for sport in 4K?

At least 20 Mbit/s, 30 or more to be comfortable, preferably over a cable.

Spend 3 € before you spend 80 €.

The test runs for 48 hours on one screen and stops by itself. Put it over a weekend with a match on, so you test the service at its busiest.
