Short answer

Most problems come from the connection or the device, not the service. Legality depends on whether a service holds the rights to its channels, and this page is not legal advice. Anything not covered here, the chat answers in under 4 minutes.

Updated

IPTV is a way of delivering television over the internet, and the technology is legal: Nordic telecom operators deliver their own TV the same way. What decides legality is whether the service distributing a channel holds the rights to do so. That question is the same for a Swedish channel as for a Norwegian one.

Copyright law in the Nordic countries is aimed mainly at whoever makes content available. In 2017, however, the Court of Justice of the EU ruled in case C-527/15 (Stichting Brein v Wullems) that streaming from an obviously unlicensed source is not covered by the exception for temporary copies.

Screens and catch-up

  • Screens: one stream at a time on the test and on the one-, three- and six-month plans; four at once on twelve months.
  • Catch-up: none on the test and one month, 7 days on three and six months, 14 days on twelve months.
  • Login: one set of details for every device in the house.

How support works

Support runs through the chat, around the clock, and answers in under 4 minutes. It helps to say which device and app you use, which plan you have, which channel failed and at what time. A photo of the error message often saves three rounds of questions.

Questions and answers

Is IPTV legal in the Nordic countries?

The technology is legal. Whether a particular service is legal depends on whether it holds the rights to the channels it distributes. This is not legal advice.

Why does the picture freeze on sport?

Usually Wi-Fi, or a device that cannot decode the stream fast enough. Try a cable, or HD instead of 4K, before anything else.

How many devices can I use?

One stream at a time on the test and the one-, three- and six-month plans. Four at once on twelve months.

How do I pay?

Payment is arranged in the chat when you order. The available methods are listed there.

What is catch-up?

Catch-up lets you play programmes that have already aired, straight from the guide: 7 days on three and six months, 14 days on twelve months, none on the test and one month.

Spend 3 € before you spend 80 €.

The test runs for 48 hours on one screen and stops by itself. Put it over a weekend with a match on, so you test the service at its busiest.
